Abstract

Human dignity is a legislative value. The norm that adopts the right to respect for human dignity can be considered both as a right directly and as a guarantee mediating the functioning of all branches of state power. The authors analyze the specific features of the interpretation and legislative implementation of this right in the German Basic Law.
