EDUCATION OF CIVIC CONSCIOUSNESS AND PATRIOTISM AMONG THE YOUNG GENERATION AS COUNTERMEASURES TO RUSSIAN MORAL TRADITIONAL VALUES THREAT

The geopolitical situation in the world that has developed since 2022 has aggravated the threats to the national security of the Russian Federation as never before. So, modern information wars, which include also the informational impact on consciousness, subconscious mind, psyche, ideas, beliefs, views of people (counterpropaganda and fake wars), are conducted with the help of new effects on citizens of the Russian Federation, in the first place among the young generation, which is a direct threat to Russian spiritual and moral traditional values. In this regard, the task of educating civic consciousness and patriotism in young people becomes especially urgent, since these personal qualities seem to be the most effective in forming rejection of the ideas about threats to national security imposed «from outside». The author attempts to identify the essential characteristics of this category of the Russian population, she also tries to justify the idea about the age limits of the category «youth» with regard to education of traditional values. The optimal «youth indicators» of loyalty to the ideas of prosocial behaviour have been identified, which are important for the development and implementation of public authority youth policy, especially in the sphere of civic education and patriotism.
